Illuminations Closing?

Let me start by saying that I pray that this rumor isn't true. Rumor has it that "Illuminations" "the nightly Epcot firework show" will be closing on August 30th. It will be replaced by the DisneySea fireworks show. I believe that if they did this it would be so stupid. Once again, I hope and honestly believe that this rumor is not true.

180 Day Dining Window?

Disney World Dining Booking Window Moves to 180 Days Starting October 27, 2009, Walt Disney World will move the booking window for Advanced Dining Reservations to 180 days, from the current 90 days. Walt Disney World resort guests will be able to book all dining reservations 180 days in advance of the day they check in, up to 10 days at a time. Non-Disney World Resort guest can make dining reservations 180 days in advance of their dining date.
This move should allow those who plan well in advance plenty of opportunity to book the reservations they want. Starting on October 27, 2009, guests will be able to book dining reservations up until April 25, 2010. Rumor is that at the time of the change, all dining reservations will require a credit card guarantee. No official announcement has been made, I will update this post if/when that change is announced.

ADR's and Demolition

ADR"S
We hear from a source inside Disney that they’ll be moving back to a 180-day booking window, possibly around October, due to guest demand. Currently advanced dining reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance, but because of the free dining plan, restaurants have been filling up.

Demolition
Screamscape.com reported a few days ago that the Tomorrowland Skyway station is set for demolition. We have now also been able to confirm that to be the case. Current plans call for the work to begin late July, with completion set for November 2009, around the time of Space Mountain opening. The restrooms, with some remodelling, are expected to remain. Other than the actual demolition, there is no information yet on what will be done with the space.

Odd Rumors

Weird Al has a video mocking the "Jungle Cruise Ride".... Ok..not a rumor, but from what I hear from Cast members, he actually loves this ride. In fact, he has been seen actually skippering this ride. If you are at Disney (Land or World) and your skipper is named "Dan" it might just be Weird Al himself. (apparently he has a lot of free time)

Dead at Disney?
We all are mourning the loss of the cast member on the Monorail. For some reason, I believe that cast Members are heroes. These people take a thankless job, and make it magical for us. Their enthusiasm and love of Disney makes the whole Disney experience magical for the rest of us. But, out of this loss we have a rumor. This cast member is one of the only people to ever die at Disney World. By "Die", I mean pronounced dead at WDW.

Pirates 4 and Prices on the Rise

Price Increase?
It is that time of year again, when the Disney Company usually raises cost of admission to all of the Disney Theme Parks. Last year, theme park admission was raised on Aug. 3 with little notice and admission to the water parks was just recently raised.
Rumors are circulating at the Walt Disney World parks worldwide about a possible price hike coming soon. As in last year’s price increase, Disney does not generally give much advance notice of when prices will be going up. The past several times a price increase has occurred it has been on the first Sunday in August – a day that is just around the corner.

Pirates 4?
Seems that Pirates 4 is moving up the priority list for Disney, apparently leap-frogging "The Lone Ranger" according to Jerry Bruckheimer. And now Gore appears to be leaving "Bio-Shock", so could he be perhaps persuaded to come back to direct another Pirates movie?
